Thanks to my journalism background, I have firsthand insight into the publishing process and how to best work with press.
As a founding member of the communications team at Indivisible SF, a grassroots advocacy organization, I’ve created talking points, pitched reporters, produced multimedia packages, and edited op-eds. My team secured coverage in national outlets like The L.A. Times and The San Francisco Chronicle, in local papers like The Mercury News, on TV channels like ABC and CBS, and on radio shows like KALW.
I help other California-based progressive groups create press plans and marketing campaigns. This work includes messaging strategy and guides, media kits, and online press centers.
I’ve spoken at press conferences, given quotes to newspapers, and been interviewed for TV and radio segments.
For events, I create day-of production schedules including time breakdown, talking points, and protocol for interacting with media. I provide on-the-ground support to members of the press and help with event logistics and general planning.
